Course Description
A laboratory incubator is equipment that provides a controlled environment for the growth of living cells. Whereas incubation is the process of providing a controlled environment. Incubated cell cultures potentially represent months, even years, of valuable research that is lost if cells die. Therefore, incubator reliability and stability are of the highest importance.
On the basis of requirements, the desired incubator is selected. In addition to mechanical failure, contamination due to human error or the surrounding environment poses risks. So, in this course, we are giving complete details and knowledge about incubators for individuals handling CO2 incubators.
In part 2 of the course, we are going to give you extensive details about how to handle laboratory centrifuges. A centrifuge is an equipment that applies the principle of centrifugation to separate particles from the mixture. The particles in the mixture separate based on their density, i.e., the denser particle settles down as pellets in the container, and the lighter particle remains suspended as supernatant in the mixture.
Course Objectives
- A student will gain a complete understanding on how to operate incubators/ centrifuges & overview of challenges & problems related to these equipment’s.
- A student will learn how to work in different types of Incubators/centrifuges & Maintenance of these equipment’s with their quality control.
